Body Shop Tea Tree BB Cream

The body shop Tea Tree Range is very famous, and I am one of the avid supporters of the blemish stick. So when there was a BB cream in the range, I had to try it for myself. I knew that the Tea Tree range is usually great for acne and so I wanted to see if this was the BB cream would be the "all-in-one" product.

There are only three shades to select from, so it was a bit of a struggle to find the fitting shade, but I decided on #2. When I first applied it at home, it wasn't an exact match, but after a bit of blending with a brush, the difference wasn't noticeable. This could be due to the watery formula though.

It has the scent that all Body Shop tea tree products have, just letting you know. Personally, I find the scent refreshing, and isn't very strong in this product after it sets in so I really like it. When it was first applied, it was quite watery but sank in quickly. The coverage with it isn't very impressive, and I didn't see much of a change in the darkness of my blemishes after I had it on, though I did notice that my redness toned down, perhaps because of the cooling effect of the bb cream.

The product was not greasy at all, which is a big plus for me, and once it is applied, you hardly even feel that you have any make up on, which is also nice. Overall, I feel that it isn't something I would wear to a party, but for a casual day, this would be what I would reach for. Do you have a favourite Tea Tree product? If so, tell me in the comments :)

  1. Thanks for the review! I still haven't found a dream BB cream yet but I love CoverGirl's CGSmoothers BB cream in the shade 'light'. Only downside is it has really sheer coverage. Lovely blog you've got, I'll be subscribing. :)

  3. I've never tried any of the Tea Tree range actually! Seems like you had mixed feelings about this one. I find in general that it's hard to find a good BB cream, but once you've found one that suits you it's great to use!

  6. I've been thinking about trying this. I have used alot of their tea tree products and the one I've stuck to is the tea tree oil, simple but effective.

  7. BB and CC creams just don't do it for me as they're so light in coverage. I love that this BB cream is in the tee tree range though. It sounds like it's worth a try :) x

  10. I've never tried any of their tea tree range but they seem appealing to me, I'm looking for a thin bb cream, maybe this one is good for that. Did it make your face shine? (that's a problem I had with other bb creams) xx

    1. It didn't really produce shine, and I really liked it because of the matte finish it gave, though my oily skin has become more dry because of the cold, I really think this is worth a try! Hope it works well for you!

  11. I love the whole tea tree skincare range but I've never dipped into the makeup. My skin isn't clear enough for bb creams which is a shame as I'd love to try this! I'd have to save it for a good week haha
